Common questions
Works with the POS and ERP you already run+
The kiosk connects by API to your POS, your ERP, and your payment platform. Pricing and transactions stay in the systems your team already uses, and PayTag builds and maintains the connection.
What about the security tags you already own?+
They stay in use. The kiosk supports both EAS and RFID hard tags through a modular detacher base, so no stock needs retagging before launch.
Timeline to go live+
Integration takes 30 days from the first meeting to QA, when your development team is assigned to it full time. Hardware installation, the pilot store, and the wider rollout follow QA.
Installation and staff training+
PayTag handles both. That covers carpentry, network, power, RFID placement, and detacher positioning, followed by staff training at the pilot store.
Can a shopper walk out without paying?+
Not without the gate knowing. The hard tag releases only after payment is confirmed, and an unpaid item passing the RFID gate raises an alert that names the specific item.
